[Short bio] [Publications] [Research projects]
From May 2000 to June 2003, I was research assistant at Praktische Informatik IV, department of computer science and mathematics, University of Mannheim. I received my PhD degree (summa cum laude) in May 2003. In 1999 and 2000, I worked at the ICSI Center for Internet Research (formerly known as ACIRI) of the International Computer Science Institute, Berkeley. During that time I wrote my diploma thesis on "Equation-Based Congestion Control" and I also participated in a joint project of ICSI and DaimlerChrysler Research, Palo Alto, on simulations for mobile communication. From 1994 to 1999, I studied Wirtschaftsinformatik (a combination of computer science and business administration) at the University of Mannheim. My studies were supported by a scholarship of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German National Merit Foundation).
